In small-diameter HDPE networks, when welding is not possible or the working space is extremely reduced, any failure requires direct action on the affected point. In an installation in Alicante, the repair of a 110-mm HDPE pipe was completed using a REP 107–111 coupling, whose lateral opening allowed a quick intervention with no additional dismantling.
